Marriage

Brian and I have been engaged for about two months. We have been talking about the details of our wedding and what our vision is for our "big day". We have big ideas and visions for the day we want. We want everything over the top and amazing. With me being a recent college graduate who is unable to find a full time job and with Brian still being in college we are unsure of what to do. We will be paying for our wedding ourselves on a very tight budget. We had planned on being married on 9.10.11 which is far enough away that we thought that with pinching pennies we would be able to afford something nice. Last night Brian and I sat with my sister and expressed our feelings about our wedding. In our hearts we know that we are in love and that we would be married tomorrow if we could afford it. We talked about options for the type of wedding we could have. Ways we could cut down on the cost but still have a nice classy wedding. We are still a little stumped.

On the drive home Brian and I started talking about just having a ceremony in January 9, 2010. It would allow us to have everyone we want there with a lot less stress.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice for us?

My summer...

had been filled with so many exciting events. In the short time since my summer has started I have graduated from college. It is an awesome concept to think that four years of hard work have paid off. What direction do I start to point my life now? I still have many unanswered questions about life.

After graduation Brian and I drove to West Palm Beach Florida so I could meet his family. It was awesome to start meeting the family I want to become a part of. Knowing where Brian came from and meet his family was amazing. After West Palm Beach we met up with my sister and niece and went to Walt Disney World. I had the best vacation.

A month of spending time with Brian made me so thankful for him. He has such a good heart and cares so much about everyone. I never would have imagined myself ending up with such a great man. He is more then I could have ever asked for. I am grateful for him and everything he is helping me become.

After getting home Brian and I have decided to re-do our apartment with some amazing stuff from Brian's sister. We have taken down wall paper and painted three rooms in our apartment. We have really made it feel like home. I will take photos and post them.

If its cold out... why not cook?!

Have you ever started cooking a meal not knowing how it is going to end up.... upon eating the food you think you just made the best meal you have EVER made? I did that last night and I am PROUD. I made lemon pepper chicken that was pan seared in extra virgin olive oil and then baked on a bed of lemons served over top wheat pasta with a small amount of butter and fresh parmesan cheese. The meal was so good! Filling but not to heavy. It's was so good and worth trying sometime!

I wish I was young again...

Sometimes I forget how it feels to be little again. I have been spending the last week or so at my sisters because Brian went to Florida and my sisters husband has been in the hopsital. I couldn't fall a sleep last night... I guess you could say I have a lot of my mind which is normal for this time of the year. At about 7:15 my neice came running down stairs and READY to start opening up little gifts that she had been wating for all YEAR! I forgot that I was dealing with an 11 year and asked for just two more minutes of rest. That lasted for an all of about 10 seconds before she was ready to go and not letting me forget about it. It's funny how you forget what it feels like to be young. I guess being 21 means that I know the gifts will be there regardless of when I wake up. I guess seeing the job in 11 year olds eyes made me remember the feeling of going to bed with almost nothing under the tree and waking up to what seems like a mile long list. I guess I can say... my neice brought back the feeling of Christmas this year.. the only thing that would of made it better would of been to have my brother in-law my brother and his wife... and Brian... I'm just thankful that we still have them regardless of where in the country they may be....

The only bitter statement for the day is that my boyfriend is spending Christmas in Florida with 75 degree weather.... FORGET HIM!!!

hahaha

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
